Where It All Began
RD2 is an interior design and architecture company in Dubai, aiming to bring nature back into the chaotic lives of the new century. We believe in sustainable interior design, and we advocate for it in all our choices, from the brands we work with to our suppliers, logistics, and most certainly in our design.
RD2 Design stems from the aspirations of a team passionate about interior design, innovation, and sustainability. Our mission is to create innovative and sustainable spaces and we envision our company’s future as the inspiration for future generations of clients through our craft.
Our Team
Alex Varkey
Alex has been active in the interiors and architecture field in the UAE for more than 15 years. His most prominent projects have been in the residential and commercial fields.
He’s always open to new concepts and brings innovative approaches and improved solutions to interior design projects.
Alex is a loyal ambassador for sustainable interior design, responsibly adjusting his life choices to lower the impact on the environment.

Oxana Kim
With years of experience in administration, sales, marketing, and HR, Oxana brings essential variety and wisdom to RD2’s interior design projects.
Her various experiences complement each other and drive her to figure out what exactly the client needs. And her detail-oriented approach to customer care ensures that all interior design projects whether small or big are carried out perfectly.
Oxana is determined to raise awareness of sustainable interior design and believes that it is not just a sub-category of interior design, but rather the parent framework of all other designs.

Based in Dubai, RD2 Design practices crafting environmentally responsible and elegant spaces. We believe in sustainable design for the recharging of the soul while also preserving our planet.
In addition to interior design and architecture services, we are dedicated to creating awareness on considering sustainability in interior design.
At RD2 we strive to leverage sustainable interior design for creating beautiful interiors that are refreshing yet functional and also safe for you, nature, and the future generations.
We live 93% of our lives indoors, which makes it extremely crucial to consider the design of our homes and office spaces. This is where interior design comes into play, preparing those indoor spaces for the best possible experience through design, architecture, and planning. And THIS is where RD2 comes into the picture, taking over the entire process of interior design, from concept design to interior decoration.
We believe the sole path to creating comfortable, balanced, and refreshing spaces for work and living is through incorporating nature in our planning. After all, we all come from nature and eventually go back to it.
How we incorporate sustainability into your home and office’s interior design
At RD2, we believe that nature will never fail you. We incorporate nature into all our designs by adding greenery, incorporating water, leveraging natural lighting, and enjoying natural sounds.
The result is beautiful calming interiors that allow you to enjoy all the simple natural things on a daily basis.
Low environmental impact
At RD2 we wholeheartedly rely on brands and logistics that leave the least possible footprint on the environment. From choosing sustainable non-toxic and non-polluting products to planning our logistics in a way that creates lower pollution to using naturally available materials, we’re all for the environment. Our interior designers choose all materials and resources responsibly, considering their extraction, production, transportation, and processing, along with disposal.
Energy Efficiency
Our interior design team aims to increase residential and commercial spaces’ energy efficiency. We achieve this by carefully choosing lighting, heating, cooling, and appliances from energy efficient approved brands.
All steps from choosing the appliances to planning the perfect combination of natural lighting and low consumption lighting will be towards creating an energy-efficient home for you.
Waste reduction
We are loyal advocates of sustainable design, meaning we consider recycling, upcycling, and repurposing instead of instantly disposing of.
At RD2, we choose all the products used in our interior design, in ways to decrease the waste.
